The Manatee Center is run primarily by a wonderful group of volunteers. Unfortunately, at times, our volunteers become unexpectedly unavailable due to illness or family situations.
We apologize for any inconvenience. Although the Center is closed the Wildlife Observation Deck and Tower remain open behind the building along Moore's Creek. Please take time to visit you might spot a manatee!

The Manatee Center is known for its dedication to environmental awareness and education. Our monthly Lunch & Learn Lecture Series offers a great way to learn about local wildlife and conservation efforts. June's program "One Lagoon - One Future!" will be presented by Caleta Scott, Southern IRL Community Engagement Coordinator for One Lagoon.
The program always takes place at noon on the 2nd Friday of each month and is hosted by the Fort Pierce Yacht Club at 700 N Indian River Drive Fort Pierce.
