On December 25, 1900, people in the United States and Canada took part in the first annual count of bird species. 122 years later the Christmas Bird Count is one of the world’s longest standing citizen science projects. Join Dr. Kate Wells of the Space Coast Audubon Society for the Manatee Center’s Lunch & Learn on Friday, December 10th at noon to learn why this project is so important and how you can get involved.
