Monthly lectures vary from biologist and writers to scientists and artists. This month, join us on a magical mystery manatee tour to learn the untold secrets of Florida's state Marine mammal. Uncover their true history, meet their relatives, take a peek at manatee romance and motherhood and learn how manatees save thousands of human lives every day. Secrets of Florida's endangered state marine mammal will be revealed by Diane Morgan, during her presentation “Manatee Mystique”. She will guide you through the world of the marvelous, mysterious, and misunderstood manatee.

Diane is an adjunct professor of philosophy and literature at IRSC and has authored dozens of books on animals of all kinds. She volunteers at the Manatee Observation and Education Center and the Save the Manatee Club.

Manatee Observation and Education Center Lunch & Learn Lectures are on the second Friday of each month and held in the Manatee Center’s indoor classroom unless otherwise noted. Lunch and Learn Lectures are free, so bring your lunch and bring a friend!
